Its structure is generally PET/AL/PE or PA/AL/CPP, combining the flexibility of plastic film with the high barrier properties of aluminum foil. The material has a smooth surface, good printability and heat-sealing performance, and can be processed into roll form for easy automated filling and sealing operations. Standard thicknesses range from 60μm to 150μm, and multi-layer structures or special properties, such as antistatic layers and high-temperature resistant layers, can be customized according to customer needs. 1. High Barrier Properties:
The core advantage of this aluminum plastic film lies in the high density of its aluminum layer. After vacuum metallization or aluminum foil lamination, its oxygen translucency (OTR) can be as low as below 0.5 cm³/m²·24h, and its water vapor translucency (WVTR) is below 0.3 g/m²·24h, meeting GB/T 1038 and GB/T 1037 standards. It effectively prevents oxygen, water vapor, and odor molecules from entering the packaging, keeping the contents dry and fresh, making it particularly suitable for products with extremely sensitive humidity.
2. Superior Mechanical Properties:
Using a high-strength PET or PA layer as the supporting substrate, it possesses excellent tensile strength and tear resistance. Longitudinal tensile strength ≥70MPa, transverse tensile strength ≥60MPa, and tear strength ≥15N/mm, far exceeding that of ordinary single-layer films. Even during high-speed packaging machine operation or long-distance transportation, it can prevent bag breakage, perforation, and delamination. Suitable for winding, die-cutting, and vacuum sealing processes, it is particularly stable and reliable for large-scale mass production.
3. Stable Heat-Sealing Performance:
The inner layer of Aluminum Plastic Film is made of CPP or low-density polyethylene (LDPE), offering excellent heat-sealing adaptability. It has a wide sealing temperature range (110℃ to 160℃), a heat-sealing strength ≥40N/15mm, and a strong, leak-proof seal. The smooth sealing edges and good flexibility allow for sealing in vertical, horizontal, and vacuum packaging machines, making it particularly suitable for high-speed automated production lines in the food and pharmaceutical industries, ensuring complete packaging seals.
4. Excellent Printing and Appearance Effects:
The outer PET or BOPP layer has high surface tension (≥38 dyn/cm), allowing for clear gravure or offset printing patterns after corona or plasma treatment. Its surface is highly smooth, with uniform reflectivity, and can present a metallic or matte finish. High color fidelity and good abrasion resistance result in a more visually appealing finished product. For brand packaging, aluminum-plastic film enables clear and layered visual displays of graphics and text, helping to enhance brand recognition.
5. Temperature and Chemical Stability:
Aluminum Plastic Film can withstand temperature changes from -40℃ to 120℃ without cracking, delamination, or shrinkage. It exhibits good resistance to alcohol, acids, alkalis, and many organic solvents. Some structures can meet the requirements for use under high-temperature retorting conditions (121℃/30min), making them suitable for food sterilization packaging; simultaneously, they can resist ultraviolet radiation, preventing product deterioration or performance degradation due to light exposure.
